Royal Castle in Warsaw is a former official residency of polish monarchs. ​​It is located at Castle Square, right beside Warsaw Old Town. This is where The Constitution of 3 May 1791, the first of its type in Europe was signed. Royal Castle was a witness to polish history, burned and destroyed during the war is was later completely rebuilt and reconstructed. Together with Warsaw Old Town it was enlisted as a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980.
